Jordan Medsker - JDM Impressions

Written by Jordan Digital Marketing | Jun 20, 2025 2:25:53 PM

Working remotely, like we do at JDM, doesn’t mean being disconnected from colleagues. As part of our culture-building initiative, and to introduce the digital marketing world to our awesome team members, we regularly peel back the curtain on the lives of JDMers. This week, we’ll get to know Performance Marketing Manager Jordan Medsker!

Name: Jordan Medsker

Position: Performance Marketing Manager

Location: Cleveland, Ohio

When did you begin working at JDM?

In the middle of May! I got my offer a couple of days before my birthday.

How did you know JDM was the right fit for you?

I could tell the team was very excited about me, and I felt extremely comfortable with everyone I interviewed with. I could also tell that leadership truly cares about their employees, which is very important to me in considering a role.

What’s your favorite part of the workday?

When I get to talk to my coworkers on internal and external calls! I’m really big on collaboration.

What’s the most gratifying part of working with your clients?

I love to establish connections and relationships with all of my clients. It’s rewarding to tell a client that we are hitting goals and getting positive feedback from the client team.

In a remote company, how do you stay connected with your team?

It’s super important to stay connected while being remote. JDM provides us with the space to lean on each other while maintaining autonomy, which I value. I’m frequently chatting with my pod team, as well as having constant Zoom meetings – sometimes just to chat.

What three words would you use to describe the JDM culture so far?

Collaborative, proactive, structured.

What's something you love about JDM so far?

I love the emphasis we put on project management. Aside from paid media, project management is one of my passions, and it is great to be in an environment that prioritizes that.

What’s the most exciting thing you plan to do with your unlimited PTO?

Lots of trips this summer! A few trips to Texas, up to northern Michigan, down to Columbus, Ohio, to spend a few long weekends with my family, and a few out-of-town weddings in Buffalo, NY. I’m also planning a weekend away somewhere in Pennsylvania with my boyfriend!

What's something you love about the marketing industry?

Everyone is always willing to share their best practices with others. We’re all here to help each other, especially in current times, as there are lots of AI-driven shifts in the paid search world and a steady stream of new features from Google. We all get to learn together.

What do you think has been the most interesting change in the marketing industry or in your channel this year?

AI. It’s such a buzzword right now. Everyone is talking about it, and Google is putting more emphasis on its AI Max campaigns. As an industry, we have to figure out how to adapt to these changes, both on the Paid and SEO side.

What digital marketing platform, technology, or skill do you see gaining the most traction in the next 1-2 years, and why?

My answer here is also AI – keeping up with its functionality and learning how to leverage it. As we don’t fully know how the future will look with up-and-coming and more polished AI capabilities, I think we will see a lot of focus in the next few years.

What are the names and ages of your kids (or furbabies)?

I have one fur baby right now; his name is Goose! I adopted him as a 3-year-old stray cat from the Cleveland animal shelter. I walked into the shelter, immediately fell in love with him, and came back the next day to bring him home. My boyfriend claims he likes him more than me… but he definitely doesn’t. He’s a velcro cat!

What's something you've implemented or tested, and what was the outcome?

I had a client who gave us access to their Salesforce instance so we could connect it to Google Ads. We were then able to see robust reporting, down to the keyword level. It was very rewarding to be able to provide very clear insights and actionable next steps based on good-quality data.

What’s a project that you’ve worked on that you’ve really enjoyed?

At my most recent previous role, I was part of a team that implemented a playbook for delivery across all clients. This organization was a bit larger than JDM, and each department had its way of client delivery. I was part of the team that created and implemented the new playbook, and it’s still one of my favorite projects I’ve been able to work on.
