Jen Shaw - JDM Impressions

Written by Jordan Digital Marketing | Jul 2, 2026 2:00:01 PM

Working remotely, like we do at JDM, doesn’t mean being disconnected from colleagues. As part of our culture-building initiative, and to introduce the digital marketing world to our awesome team members, we regularly peel back the curtain on the lives of JDMers. This week, we’ll get to know Performance Marketing Manager Jen Shaw!

Name: Jen Shaw

Position: Performance Marketing Manager

Location: Jacksonville, FL

When did you begin working at JDM?

I started in May 2026.

How did you know JDM was the right fit for you?

When I interviewed, I could tell that the people I talked to really liked working here and that they seemed very passionate about what they do.

What’s your favorite part of the workday?

When I can check something off my list and feel accomplished, especially if it’s a big report or an analysis where I was able to provide good insights and recommendations.

What’s the most gratifying part of working with your clients?

Getting to know their business and finding strategies to help them meet their goals.

In a remote company, how do you stay connected with your team?

Between meetings and Slack messages, it doesn’t feel like remote. I think we keep in constant communication and that helps.

What three words would you use to describe the JDM culture?

Smart, dedicated, collaborative.

What's something you love about JDM?

The ability to work in, and learn, new channels.

Can you recall a time when JDM challenged you, and how we supported you through that time?

Well, I’m pretty new and onboarding to a new company is a challenge anywhere, but JDM has such a great onboarding process that gives you everything you need to go to get up to speed.

What’s the best thing you’ve done with your unlimited PTO?

Nothing yet - but I look forward to planning something fun. My family and I went to Portugal last summer through a cultural tour and it was such an amazing immersion into their culture!

What's something you love about the marketing industry?

There is always something new to try and something new to learn.

What do you think has been the most interesting change in the marketing industry or in your channel this year?

I think just how much AI has taken over and it’s only just begun. I’ve been in marketing for awhile and it’s just become a whole new way of doing things.

What digital marketing platform, technology, or skill do you see gaining the most traction in the next 1-2 years, and why?

It is hard to predict. As AI becomes more integrated, how people search is already changing - more conversational and contextual conversations with consumers will become more important vs just serving a generic ad.

What's something you've implemented or tested, and what was the outcome?

We’re going to be launching ads on OpenAI. It’s a whole new way of targeting, and I’m looking forward to seeing the outcome and how users respond.

What’s a project that you’ve worked on that you’ve really enjoyed?

Working on a back to school campaign. There were a lot of moving parts between timing, messaging, and making sure the structure was set up to perform during a short but impactful window. Getting everything aligned and then watching it come together was genuinely satisfying.

What’s a project that you’ve worked on that you’ve really enjoyed?

I’m enjoying putting together the build for ChatGPT - It’s a different way of thinking from the customers viewpoint of how they interact with ChatGPT vs. doing a search on Google.
