Adriana Mendez - JDM Impressions

Written by Jordan Digital Marketing | Jun 26, 2026 2:30:00 PM

Working remotely, like we do at JDM, doesn’t mean being disconnected from colleagues. As part of our culture-building initiative, and to introduce the digital marketing world to our awesome team members, we regularly peel back the curtain on the lives of JDMers. This week, we’ll get to know Performance Marketing Specialist Adriana Mendez!

Name: Adriana Mendez

Position: Performance Marketing Specialist

Location: Nicaragua

When did you begin working at JDM?

I started in March 2026.

How did you know JDM was the right fit for you?

JDM stood out because of the people, the client mix, and the room to grow. Working across industries like healthcare and education felt meaningful, and it was clear the team was collaborative and invested in doing quality work. That combination made it an easy decision.

What’s your favorite part of the workday?

When I get to close out my tasks at the end of the day. There's something satisfying about having a clear record of what got done.

What’s the most gratifying part of working with your clients?

When we see the results come through. Going from building a campaign out to watching it actually performing, and knowing the work behind it drove that, is what makes it feel worth it.

In a remote company, how do you stay connected with your team?

We stay in constant communication, not just around projects and client work, but also through everyday things like TV series recommendations and random fun facts. That keeps the connection feeling real even when everyone is remote.

What three words would you use to describe the JDM culture?

Adaptable, team-driven, growth-oriented.

What's something you love about JDM?

The balance between autonomy and support. You have real ownership over your work, but the team is always there when you need to think something through.

Can you recall a time when JDM challenged you, and how we supported you through that time?

When I first encountered some of the more complex naming conventions across client accounts, it was a learning curve. The medical terminology especially took some getting used to. But the team was always available to walk me through it, and I never felt like I had to figure things out on my own. That kind of support made a real difference.

What’s the best thing you’ve done with your unlimited PTO?

Honestly, I haven't taken advantage of it yet!  I've been heads down getting into the work. But it's something I'm looking forward to. Having that flexibility when I'm ready for it means a lot.

What's something you love about the marketing industry?

How fast it moves. There is always something new to learn, whether it’s a platform update, a shift in strategy, or a new way to look at performance data. It keeps the work interesting and pushes you to keep growing.

What do you think has been the most interesting change in the marketing industry or in your channel this year?

The push toward AI-driven campaign management. Platforms are taking more control over targeting, bidding, and even creative, which means the role of a strategist is shifting. It is less about manually controlling every lever and more about knowing how to guide the machine, set the right inputs, and interpret what the data is actually telling you. That dynamic comes up a ton in my day-to-day work.

What digital marketing platform, technology, or skill do you see gaining the most traction in the next 1-2 years, and why?

AI-driven automation is taking over more and more of how campaigns run, and I think that trend is only going to grow. The platforms are pushing it hard, and the skills that matter most right now are knowing how to set it up right, feed it the right inputs, and actually understand what it is doing so you can course-correct when needed.

What's something you've implemented or tested, and what was the outcome?

When we restructured a campaign to align with how the platform was optimizing, our goal was to give the algorithm cleaner signals and reduce wasted spend. After the adjustment we saw performance stabilize and efficiency improve over time. It reinforced that sometimes less complexity in the structure leads to better results.

What’s a project that you’ve worked on that you’ve really enjoyed?

Working on a back to school campaign. There were a lot of moving parts between timing, messaging, and making sure the structure was set up to perform during a short but impactful window. Getting everything aligned and then watching it come together was genuinely satisfying.

What’s your favorite hobby outside of work?

Going to the beach! I'm based in Nicaragua, which is a great perk — most beaches are just two hours away. I always try to make it out on long weekends to unwind and reconnect with the outdoors.
